Court puts Labazan Magomedaliev behind bars
The custody term of Labazan Magomedaliev, the head of the Department of Education of the Untsukul District of Dagestan, suspected of illegal possession of weapons, has made one month. After conducting a search, power agents claimed that they found a grenade launcher on Magomedaliev, but relatives deny this version, an acquaintance of the suspect said.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Labazan Magomedaliev was detained on January 15. On the following day, his relatives and colleagues held a rally in his support in Untsukul. They argue that the prosecution of Magomedaliev has to do with his professional activities; and the weapon was planted into his house. According to a police source, Magomedaliev is suspected not only of illegal circulation of weapons, but also of links with militants.
Today, the Untsukul District Court has considered the issue of Magomedaliev's freedom restriction measure, a court source told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
"Magomedaliev is arrested for a month," the source explained, adding that within this period Magomedaliev should be charged.
