The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on January 15, in Nalchik, the counterterrorist operation (CTO) legal regime was introduced in connection with the special operation carried out in Tsiolkovsky Street. The CTO legal regime has been lifted today, at 10:35 a.m.
According to sources from the law enforcement bodies, during a shootout, three militants were killed, and a law enforcer was severely wounded.
Last night, the body of the killed militant was removed from the ruins of the destroyed private house, the NAC reports.
A source from the Kabardino-Balkarian law enforcement bodies has clarified that the body of the 36-year-old owner of the house in Tsiolkovsky Street was found under the ruins.
"He was in a gas mask. Other 5 gas masks were discovered at the place of the armed clash, and this fact suggests that members of the armed underground prepared in advance for possible actions of law enforcers. The equipment discovered in the basement of the house allows supposing that improvised explosive devices (IEDs) were manufactured there," the RIA "Kabardino-Balkaria" quotes a source from the law enforcement bodies as reporting.
