Fishermen evacuated from ice floe in Krasnodar Territory
Rescuers have completed the evacuation of 90 fishermen from a separated ice floe in the Yeisk Estuary. According to the Ministry for Emergencies (MfE), nobody suffered.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that a large ice floe broke away from the coast in the Scherbinovskiy District of the Krasnodar Territory with about a hundred people on it. By 12:10 a.m., 50 fishermen were evacuated.
The rescue operation was over by 1:00 p.m. with the help of two hovercrafts, said the MfE of the Krasnodar Territory.
There are no casualties or victims the fishermen there. After the end of the operation, the emergency services began monitoring the Yeisk Estuary, the website of the regional MfE reports.
In total, 90 people were rescued from the ice floe.
