Kadyrov: relatives will respond for Chechens-participants of rally in Vienna
Relatives will have to "grapple with" the participants of the rally held in Austria, where they condemned the practice of public insults and harassment for the criticism addressed to the authorities of Chechnya, said the head of the republic Ramzan Kadyrov. The record of the event was put on TV on December 30, 2015.
Natives of Chechnya in Vienna expressed their condemnation of public insults and persecutions, said the website of "Radio Marsho" – the Chechen Service of Radio Liberty.
The responsibility of residents of Chechnya for actions and statements of their relatives living abroad was declared by Kadyrov at a press conference on December 28 in Grozny.
At the same time, he denied the information about the beatings and expulsion from tribal villages of relatives of Viennese protesters.
Kadyrov has also commented on the story of the public insult of Adam Dikaev, having condemned the author of the critical post in the social network.
Public pressure on dissidents is taking place in Chechnya within the context of similar practices applied to people who are treated by the authorities as carriers of extremist ideas. Thus, on December 30, 2015, on air of the Chechen State TV and Radio Company "Grozny" they showed a report about the "educative" talk with the 19-year-old Ilman Salgereev, other young people and their relatives, which was organized religious scholars and policemen in the building of the Oktiabrskiy ROVD (District Interior Division) of Grozny. According to the authorities, Salgereev had communicated with preachers of radical Islamic movements and spread their sermons through the WhatsApp service.
