Members of "New Armenia" report on provocations at regional meetings

In Armenia, opponents of the constitutional reform have completed regional meetings with citizens. The activists have claimed several provocations committed during the above events. Supporters of the Front of National Salvation "New Armenia" have made a decision to continue their sitting picket in Yerevan, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that starting from December 1, the supporters of the "New Armenia" are holding a round-the-clock picket in Freedom Square.

Tonight, nine activists have been on duty in Freedom Square, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by Gagik Egiazaryan, a member of the "New Armenia". "We will stay here until we achieve our goal," Gagik Egiazaryan has said.

The activist has also said that on December 19, members of the "New Armenia" met residents of Abovyan, Razdan, Gavar, Martuni and Idjevan, and on December 20, residents of Ashtarak, Aparan, Spitak, Vanadzor, and Gyumri.

"The people welcomed us. However, every time, the meetings were attended by two or three provocateurs who tried to ruin meetings... A serious incident took place in Vanadzor... Provocateurs… tried to initiate a fight at the meeting; however, we managed to prevent it. A kind of scuffle still occurred," Gagik Egiazaryan has noted.

According to his story, the meetings were attended by law enforcers who did nothing to prevent incidents.
