Soldier of Defence Army of Nagorno-Karabakh killed in Karabakh conflict zone
On December 11, a regular soldier Karen Grigoryan was killed by a sniper at the contact line of armed forces. This has been reported today by the Ministry of Defence (MoD).
"The incident occurred on the contact line of the Karabakh and Azerbaijani Armed Forces in the eastern direction," reports the release disseminated by the MoD's press service.
The MoD of Nagorno-Karabakh expresses its condolences to the family of the deceased soldier and notes that "the investigation of the circumstances of the incident is underway."
Till present, no comments from the Azerbaijani side in connection with the report on the death of the soldier are available.
The "Caucasian Knot" has also reported that on December 11, it became known about one more case of the death of a soldier of the Defence Army of Nagorno-Karabakh in the conflict zone. Contract soldier Vardan Vardanyan, born in 1994, perished in the east direction of the contact line.
Earlier, on December 9, Stepanakert officials reported on the fatal gunshot wound of soldier Garik Avanesyan.
On December 7, the Azerbaijani side reported about the death of Officer Abdulla Mollaev, who was killed during the shelling from the Armenian side.
It should be noted that the parties to the conflict regularly exchange accusations of violating the ceasefire.
