Two residents of Ingushetia accused of involvement in IAF
Investigators have completed the investigation into the criminal case against two residents of Ingushetia. According to the police, they were members of an illegal armed formation (IAF).
The criminal proceedings were instituted under Part 2 of Article 208 (involvement in an armed formation not envisaged by federal law), Article 317 (attempt on the life of a law enforcer), and Part 3 of Article 222 (illicit arms trafficking by an organized grouping) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
According to the investigators, the defendants equipped a hiding on the outskirts of the Sunzha District of Ingushetia to store "illegally acquired firearms and ammunition," reports the website of the Investigating Department for Ingushetia of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF).
On April 7, 2015, the defendants, according to the law enforcers, committed an attempt on the life of a policeman to prevent his lawful activities.
The court has taken the defendants into custody as a pre-trial restriction measure.
