ICRF reports on one wounded policeman in Dagestan
In Dagestan, as a result of the shelling of a police squad in the Kizilyurt District, only one policeman and not two, as it has been reported earlier, are wounded. No civilians suffered in the incident, the Investigating Department for Dagestan of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) reports.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that a police squad was shelled near the village of Kulzeb on December 1.
According to investigators, the incident occurred in the 767th km of the federal highway "Kavkaz". Unidentified armed men, who used a VAZ-2110 car to go to the direction of the town of Khasavyurt, opened fire on inspectors of the road-and-patrol service (known as DPS) and fled the place, reports the press service of the ICRF's Department for Dagestan.
"As a result of the attack, one of policemen got a gunshot wound, and another policeman did not suffer. No civilians suffered," reports the website of the ICRF's Department for Dagestan.
A criminal case has been instituted under Article 17 (attempt on the life of a law enforcer), Article 222 (illicit trafficking of weapons), and Article 167 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (intentional damage of the other people's property).
