Nardaran residents report detentions in the village
Power agents take away residents of the Azerbaijani village of Nardaran to some unknown place, eyewitnesses reported.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today residents of Nardaran said that armoured vehicles has been deployed in the village. According to power bodies, any motor traffic is forbidden in the village; and local residents are asked not to leave their houses. The village is densely surrounded by power agents.
On November 26, in Nardaran, believers clashed with policemen, resulting in killing of two policemen and five local residents. The riots were triggered by a special operation of the police, during which 14 people, including the theologian Talekh Bagirzade, were arrested.
In the course of the special operation, a group of power agents broke into a house, located in Nardaran near Imam Ali Square. They took two men out of the house and brought them to some unknown place.
The detainees were two local residents, a father and a son. Their family members said that during the search conducted in the house power agents "did not find anything."
Several people were detained in other houses of the village, said a local resident.
Earlier, villagers staged a protest action, which was stopped on November 29 by request of local elders.
