Nardaran residents erect barricades at entrances to the village (+video)
Tonight, Residents of Nardaran gathered for a spontaneous rally in Imam Hussein Square in the centre of the village, one of the locals told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent. They start to erect barricades and demand to release their fellow villagers detained by power agents.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today in the Azerbaijani village of Nardaran, there were clashes of policemen with believers. Four members of the movement "Muslim Unity" and two policemen were killed, law enforcement bodies of Azerbaijan have reported. According to their version, 14 people were detained, including the theologian Talekh Bagirzade.
According to the organizers of the spontaneous rally, about 300 people gathered tonight in the above square, demanding the release of the detainees.
As stated by one of the protesters, today policemen "attacked the house where Talekh Bagirzade stayed as a guest and opened fire."
"It was the police to open the fire first at unarmed people trying to scare them off. They killed the people who tried to prevent the detention of Talekh Bagirzade," one of the protesters told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
