Valery Permyakov's case sent to General Prosecutor's Office of Armenia
The indictment in the criminal case against a Russian soldier, accused of the murder of the Avetisyan family in Gyumri, has been sent to the Prosecutor's Office, which is expected to consider the case within five working days.
According to investigators, Valery Permyakov has confessed to the murder of seven members of the Avetisyan family in Gyumri on January 12. On August 12, he was sentenced to 10 years of imprisonment on the charges of desertion, theft and illegal possession of weapons.
According to Kristine Melkonyan, the press secretary of the Armenian General Prosecutor's Office, the supervising prosecutor is to consider the case within five working days, to check all the materials, and to send them to the court of first instance of the Shirak Region of Armenia.
In case if advocates of relatives of the Avetisyan family file any motions, the prosecutor will consider them and make a decision.
