Head of Georgia's MoJ asks UNM members in Ukraine to help in inquiring torture video leak
A video record of raping a detainee, which was stored in the archives of the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), has appeared online in the Ukrainian website; and the Georgian natives-members of the "United National Movement" (UNM), working with the Ukrainian authorities, can help to investigate the circumstances of the leak, said Tea Tsulukiani, the head of the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) of Georgia.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported referring to the Georgia's MIA that in June 2013 in Samegrelo they found hideouts with weapons, narcotic drugs, and an archive video records showing torture and rape of detainees in the period before the "Georgian Dream" came to power. On October 17, one of the videos was posted to the Ukrainian video hosting.
Tea Tsulukiani called the members of Saakashvili's UNM Party, now working for the authorities in Ukraine, to help in sorting out the situation.
According to her version, in total, the case of torture archive has 11 figurants; some of them are already serving their terms; and two have not been detained yet.
