Zaur Dadaev asks to send him to war in Syria
Zaur Dadaev, accused in the case of the Boris Nemtsov's murder, has addressed the Russian President with a request to allow him to take part in the combat operations in the territory of Syria.
"I'm ready to prove my patriotism now, despite all the severities and hardships that fell to my lot. Now, I've learned from the news that the military space forces operate in the territory of Syria. If necessary, I would like to take part in the military campaign in the territory of Syria against ISIL. I want to ask you to give me the chance to prove my innocence," wrote Zaur Dadaev in his letter to Vladimir Putin.
According to Zaur Dadaev, he has confessed to the crime because of fear of being subjected to physical violence incompatible with his mentality and religion.
"I do not know more direct way to prove my patriotism and innocent than the willingness to die for Russia, for the Motherland," the urban news agency "Moscow" quotes the Zaur Dadaev's appeal as stating.
According to Shamsudin Tsakaev, an advocate of Zaur Dadaev, his client has been encouraged to address the Russian President with such an appeal by the fact that Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov mentioned the possibility for fighters to go to Syria to take part in ground operations, as well as by the information that a ground operation "is possible."
The advocate has also added that earlier, Ramzan Kadyrov has noted patriotism and personal qualities of Zaur Dadaev, the Radio Station "Moscow speaking" reports.
