Bogatyryov families state innocence of their relatives
Relatives of Tagir and Abo Bogatyryov, villagers Surkhakhi and figurants of criminal cases on participation in an illegal armed formation (IAF), denied the justification of suspicions against Tagir and Abo.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 12 the counterterrorist operation (CTO) regime was introduced in a number of villages of the Nazran District and in the city of Karabulak. According to power agents, in the course of the CTO three men were killed, and four others were detained. On October 13, relatives of detained Tagir, Abo and Alikhan Bogatyryov reported their disappearance. Later, a spokesman of law enforcement bodies reported that four residents of Ingushetia had been detained on suspicion of aiding and abetting IAF members.
The court session on choosing the freedom restriction measure for Tagir, Abo and Abdul-Kadyr Bogatyryov was held on October 17. Fatima, Abo's mother, treats the court judgement as unfair.
According to Fatima, Abo is kept in the SIZO (pre-trial prison) of North Ossetia. Her other son – the 18-year-old Alikhan – was also detained in the course of the CTO.
With regard to Tagir Bogatyryov, the court chose the freedom restraint in the form of custody for two months, said his wife Madina. Tagir, in her words, is also kept in the SIZO of North Ossetia.
