Case against resident of Akushinsky District, accused of aiding and abetting militants, sent to court

The Prosecutor's Office of the Akushinsky District has sent to the court the criminal case against M. Isaev, a local resident, accused of providing shelter and food to a leader of an illegal armed formation (IAF). Besides, Isaev is accused of illegal possession of improvised explosive devices (IEDs).

According to investigators, in 2012, Isaev rendered assistance to the leaders of an armed grouping of militants, operating in the territory of the Levashi, Lak and other Districts of Dagestan.

The investigators suggest that Isaev illegally acquired and stored in his house a hand grenade and an UZRGM fuse, which were found by law enforcers during the search, the website of the Dagestani Prosecutor's Office reports.
