CTO regime introduced in Ingushetia

The counterterrorist operation (CTO) legal regime was introduced in the town of Karabulak and a number of residential settlements in the Nazran District.

The decision to introduce the special legal regime was made by the Operational Headquarters for the Republic of Ingushetia.

"In order to prevent terror acts, ensure security for citizens, organizations and institutions, discover and detain hiding members of the armed underground, it was decided to conduct a counterterrorist operation starting from October 12 and to introduce the CTO regime within the territories of the town of Karabulak and villages Ekazhevo, Plievo, Barsuki, Gazi-Yurt, and Yandare of the Nazran District of Ingushetia," the "Interfax" quotes an official from the press service of the FSB Department for Ingushetia as reporting.

According to the Ingush FSB official, during the counterterrorist operation, a series of special measures and temporary restrictions were imposed in the above indicated territory.
