Nalchik to hold mourning rally to mark anniversary of militants' attack
Today, Kabardino-Balkaria will hold events to pay tribute to the memory of people, who fell victim to the attack on Nalchik on October 13, 2005. At the mourning rally, a number of the killed law enforcers will be honoured with posthumous awards.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in the course of the attack on Nalchik on October 13, 2005, 35 law enforcers and soldiers, 14 civilians, and 92 attackers were killed.
In the capital of Kabardino-Balkaria, the Police Park will become a centre of mourning events, and it will host a large-scale rally. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) for Kabardino-Balkaria.
"The MIA's top-ranking officials will meet family members of the killed law enforcers. A number of MIA's staff members will be honoured with posthumous state awards," the "TASS" quotes the MIA's report as stating.
An official of the State Committee for Press and Mass Communications of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR) has reported that all the districts and cities of the KBR will hold rallies, meetings, exhibitions, and sport events.
