NAC reports names of three suspected militants killed in CTO in Gimry

In the course of the special operation held in the Dagestani village of Gimry, Ruslan Ibragimov, Akhmed Abdurakhmanov, and Shamil Shamilov, three members of a local grouping of militants, were killed. This was reported by the National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC).

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported on October 10, a regime of counterterrorist operation (CTO) was introduced in Gimry. According to law enforcers, a group of armed men was blocked in a house in the village of Gimry. After the special operation, the law enforcers reported on the killing of three suspected militants and one FSB agent.

According to the preliminary information of the NAC, the law enforcers killed 24-year-old Ruslan Ibragimov, Akhmed Abdurakhmanov and Shamil Shamilov, both 27 years old. All three killed men were members of the "Gimry" grouping of militants, and they were involved in attempts on law enforcers and acts of extortion of money from entrepreneurs.

The militants used to direct the large amounts of money extorted from entrepreneurs "for financing of terrorist activities in Northern Caucasus", the "Kommersant" reports with reference to the NAC.

Ruslan Ibragimov and Akhmed Abdurakhmanov were put on the federal wanted list in 2013, and Shamil Shamilov was wanted since February, the "LifeNews" reports with reference to a source from the law enforcement bodies of the region.
