FSB special forces fighter killed in action in Gimry

A FSB Special Forces fighter was killed in the course of the counterterrorist operation (CTO) in the Dagestani village of Gimry. He was wounded in a firefight with suspected militants and later died.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today, at 6:40 a.m., a CTO regime was introduced in the village of Gimry. Law enforcers blocked armed men in a house. Three suspected militants were killed in the course of the firefight.

It was also reported that a fighter of the law enforcement bodies was wounded as a result of the special operation.

"The wounded law enforcer died," the "Chernovik" (Draft) reports with reference to a source in the Dagestani law enforcement bodies.

The information about the death of the law enforcer was confirmed by the National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC).

"During the operation, a fighter of the special forces of the Russian FSB was killed; no civilians suffered," the "TASS" quotes the NAC as reporting.
