Former head of Georgian secret services reports on discovery of plot for Bidzina Ivanishvili's assassination
A group of people arrived in Georgia from one of the foreign countries to commit a terror act aimed to kill Bidzina Ivanishvili, the former Prime Minister. This was stated by Irakli Batiashvili, the former Minister of National Security of Georgia.
On October 5, on air of the Georgian "Imedi" TV Channel, Irakli Batiashvili voiced the information about the plotting attempt on Bidzina Batiashvili.
"I've got the information from a trusted serious source that certain circles of the former government in exile are engaged in a serious work for plotting the physical elimination of Bidzina Ivanishvili through a terror act. A certain number of people, involved in the plotting of a terror act, have already arrived in Georgia," the RIA "Novosti" quotes Irakli Batiashvili as stating.
Meanwhile, the former Minister of National Security of Georgia has refused to disclose his source.
