"Rosbalt": relatives of Geremeev and Mukhudinov not aware of their whereabouts

In the course of the investigation into Boris Nemtsov murder, the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) has conducted searches and interrogations in the Shelkovskaya District of Chechnya, where Ruslan Geremeev and Ruslan Mukhudinov, defendants in the criminal case, used to live, the "Rosbalt" reports.

Boris Nemtsov was shot dead on February 27 in Moscow. In connection with the crime, five natives of Chechnya and Ingushetia were detained, namely: Zaur Dadaev, Anzor Gubashev, Khamzat Bakhaev, Tamerlan Eskerkhanov and Shagid Gubashev. All the five have been charged, but refuse to plead guilty.

The "Caucasian Knot" has informed that on March 9, the "Kommersant" reported with reference to its own sources that Ruslan Geremeev was wanted for questioning as a witness in Boris Nemtsov murder case. However, Ruslan Geremeev left Russia, the "Rosbalt" reported with reference to its source. On April 24, law enforcers announced that Ruslan Geremeev became a suspect in Boris Nemtsov murder case. On May 22, it was reported about a new suspect in Boris Nemtsov murder case - Ruslan Mukhudinov, a resident of Chechnya. On June 17, the media reported that investigators put Ruslan Geremeev and Ruslan Mukhudinov on the wanted list.

An investigator of the Investigating Department for the Shelkovskaya District should have handed summons to Ruslan Geremeev and Ruslan Mukhudinov; however, the summon letters were eventually handed over to the defendants' parents against their signatures. The investigator questioned and interviewed relatives of Ruslan Geremeev and Ruslan Mukhudinov and their closest friends. All of them said that they had not seen the wanted men since early March, the "Rosbalt" reports with reference to its source.

Let us remind you that on March 30, the "Kommersant" reported that the investigators identified the person, who ordered the murder of Boris Nemtsov, as a countryman of the defendants, who introduced himself as Ruslik. Perhaps, they talked of Ruslan Geremeev, a former colleague of Dadaev from the special unit "Sever" (North). According to another version of the investigators, Ruslan Mukhudinov could be the man, who promised to pay money to the defendants for the murder of the politician.
