Shagid Gubashev’s advocate denies that his client retracted testimony
Shagid Gubashev, a defendant in the case of the murder of politician Boris Nemtsov, has not retracted his earlier testimony. This was reported by his advocate. Thus, Shagid Gubashev has become the only defendant in the case, who did not retract his confession.
Boris Nemtsov was shot dead on February 27 in Moscow. In connection with the crime, five natives of Chechnya and Ingushetia were detained, namely: Zaur Dadaev, Anzor Gubashev, Khamzat Bakhaev, Tamerlan Eskerkhanov and Shagid Gubashev.
The "Caucasian Knot" has informed that on September 28, the "Rosbalt" reported with reference to a source close to the investigation that at the re-interrogation, Shagid Gubashev had retracted his initial testimony.
The fact that the testimony given by Shagid Gubashev remains in force has been reported by his advocate Magomed Khadisov. According to him, at the interrogation, Shagid Gubashev has confirmed his initial testimony: he used to drive a ZAZ Chance car and heard how other defendants in the case criticized Boris Nemtsov, the "RBC" reports.
Besides, Shagid Gubashev has also confirmed that he used the car, in which the killer fled the place of the crime, to pick up the defendants in the case from the Moscow airport.
