Gluboky residents stop their hunger strike
In the village of Gluboky of the Kamensk District, participants of the hunger strike made a decision to stop their protest action after the conversation with the Deputy Prosecutor of the Rostov Region and the Deputy Chief of the Investigating Department for the Rostov Region of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF).
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 27, seven participants of the rally, held in the village of Gluboky of the Kamensk District of the Rostov Region, declared a hunger strike. They demanded the arrival of investigators and prosecutors from Moscow to investigate the activities of local officials. According to various estimates, 3-13 persons joined the hunger strike during the day.
On September 29, the village of Gluboky was visited by Stanislav Kovalyov, First Deputy Chief of the ICRF's Investigating Department for the Rostov Region.
"In the course of the personal meeting with the hunger-strikers, Stanislav Kovalyov listened to their arguments and statements and clarified the procedural order for their consideration," reports the message posted on the website of the ICRF's Investigating Department for the Rostov Region.
The hunger-strikers were proposed to submit their arguments in writing to the chiefs of the ICRF's Investigating Department for the Rostov Region.
After talking to the officials from the investigating authorities and the Prosecutor's Office, the hunger-strikers made a decision to stop their protest action, the "Rostov News Agency" reports.
