In Southern Dagestan, special operation carried out outside residential settlements
In the territories of five southern districts of Dagestan, the activities of searching for militants are being conducted outside residential settlements, and they do not interfere with the lives of civilians. This was reported by a source from the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA). Local residents confirm the information and note the large concentration of law enforcers.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 28, the counterterrorist operation (CTO) regime was introduced in the territories of five districts of Dagestan. The law enforcers are searching for the militants, who killed five hunters, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by a source from the law enforcement bodies.
On September 18 and 19, the law enforcers found bodies of five killed local residents in the forests of the Suleiman-Stalsky District. A summer camp of militants was discovered not far from the place of the murder. On September 21, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed by an official from the Suleiman-Stalsky ROVD (District Interior Division) that four residents of the Suleiman-Stalsky District were suspected of committing the crime.
In the CTO area, the law enforcers are engaged in the activities to search for members of the "Suleiman-Stalsky" grouping of militants, who killed local residents on September 18 and 19. This was confirmed to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by a source from the Dagestani MIA.
According to the source, the wanted militants are also suspected of a number of other crimes committed in the territories of the Kurakh, Magaramkent, Suleiman-Stalsky, Tabasaran, and Khiv Districts of Dagestan, and the search activities are being conducted outside residential settlements and do not interfere with the lives of civilians.
