In Dagestan, Prosecutor's Office initiates lawsuits for payment of teachers' compensation for housing and communal services
In Dagestan, the Prosecutor's Office of the Tsuntin District has initiated lawsuits for payment to 23 teachers of compensation for housing and communal services. The debt to rural teachers exceeds 121,000 roubles.
The debt has been revealed during the inspection, which was carried out by the Prosecutor's Office of the Tsuntin District on the basis of the complaint filed by a female resident of the Tsuntin District.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that earlier, in other districts of Dagestan, rural teachers have also faced the problems with payments of compensation to them. Thus, in this February, about 600 teachers of the Gunib District announced their willingness to go on strike because of non-receipt of money for housing and communal services. After that, the teachers began to receive compensation to their bank accounts.
The inspection, carried out at the Department for Social Protection of population in the municipality "Bezhta Section" of the Tsuntin District, has revealed that in the period from May to September 2015, the teacher, who filed the complaint, was to receive, but was not paid more than 5000 roubles for heating with electricity.
It turned out that in the Bezhta Section, because of lack of funding, 22 other teachers also did not receive compensation to be paid to them under the law.
In this regard, the Prosecutor's Office has sent to the court 23 lawsuits demanding from the Ministry of Labour and Social Development of Dagestan and the Department for Social Protection of population to pay teachers the accrued compensation, the website of the Dagestani Prosecutor's Office reports.
