Azerbaijani soldier killed at contact line

As a result of the armed clash with units of the Armenian armed forces, one soldier was killed and three others were wounded. This was reported by the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of Azerbaijan.

On September 25, the armed clash occurred at the contact line between the armed forces as a result of the attack on the positions of the Azerbaijani Army. The Azerbaijani MoD has described the armed clash as "heavy and bloody."

As a result of the incident, Elshan Vagif oglu Mamedov, a soldier of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan was killed, and three other soldiers got minor shrapnel wounds, the "APA" reports with reference to the press release of the Azerbaijani MoD.

According to the Azerbaijani side, the Azerbaijani positions were shelled from large-calibre weapons and 82-mm mortar launchers. In its turn, Azerbaijan delivered "missile and artillery strikes."

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 25, the Ministry of Defence of Nagorno-Karabakh accused the Azerbaijani Armed Forces of the rocket and missile attacks, which killed four soldiers.

On September 24, three residents of the near-border village of the Tavush Region were killed during the Azerbaijan's attacks, and four others got shrapnel wounds. According to local residents, in the near-border village of Berdavan of the Tavush Region, missiles damaged seven residential houses and three administrative buildings. The Azerbaijani side has stated that the fire was opened in response to the attacks of the Armenian Armed Forces.
