Resident of Chechnya detained on suspicion of making weapons

A room for manufacturing of combat weapons was discovered at the house of a resident of the village of Kurchaloi. This was reported by the Chief Department for the North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA).

In the course of investigative and search activities, policemen found at the house of a 60-year-old resident of the village of Kurchaloi a homemade pistol with magazine, ammunition, and components for manufacturing and adaptation of firearms, the Chief Department for the NCFD of the Russian MIA reports.

The policemen also seized several machines. According to the law enforcement agencies, the man used the machines to manufacture combat weapons from traumatic ones. The suspect is prohibited from leaving the territory of his residence, the website of the Chief Department for the NCFD of the Russian MIA reports.
