"Caucasian Knot" sources confirm information about Saigidpasha Umakhanov's resignation

"The final decision on the Khasavyurt has been made, and Zainnudin Dadabegovich Okmazov, a native of the village of Burtunai of the Kazbek District will be the new City Mayor. This is the result of recent talks between Abdulatipov and Umakhanov. Saigidpasha Umakhanov himself may take a seat of the head of one of the ministries of the republic," Magomed Bisavaliev, a Dagestani journalist and blogger, wrote on his Facebook page. He has also confirmed that he personally talked to Saigidpasha Umakhanov by phone.

The press service of the Khasavyurt administration did not confirm the information about the resignation of Saigidpasha Umakhanov.

It should be noted that 53-year-old Saigidpasha Umakhanov is one of the "political long-livers" of Dagestan. On April 6, 1997, he was elected the head of the Khasavyurt administration, in 1997-2003, he was a deputy of the National Assembly of the Republic of Dagestan, and in 2001, he was re-elected the head of the Khasavyurt administration.
