CPRF reports detention of observers in Rostov-on-Don

In Rostov-on-Don, two observers from the CPRF (Communist Party of the Russian Federation) were brought to the police station. They are charged with violating public order. According to Vladimir Bessonov, a State Duma deputy from the CPRF, the observers from the CPRF managed to record a video of ballot stuffing at an electoral precinct.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today, on the united voting day in Russia, a number of regions of Southern Russia and Northern Caucasus have been holding elections of various levels. Rostov-on-Don holds the elections of regional governor and members of City Duma. In connection with the united voting day, a number of other towns and villages in the Rostov District also hold elections.

A large number of violations have been committed at the elections, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by Vladimir Bessonov.

"A very large number of violations have been committed in Rostov-on-Don. Other cities did not make any reports on violations; however, violations were for sure recorded in Novocherkassk and Novoshakhtinsk. As far as the detained observers are concerned, they are released from the police station, and they recorded a video of ballot stuffing," Vladimir Bessonov has stated.
