MP Nikolai Parshin asks to investigate his case in Moscow

Nikolai Parshin, a State Duma MP, involved in the case of fraud with the land plot, has appealed to the General Prosecutor's Office and the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) with a complaint about the biased attitude of Volgograd investigators and a request to transfer the investigation to Moscow.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Nikolai Parshin is involved in the case of fraud with the land plot and the school building in the Sredneakhtubinsky District of the Volgograd Region. On August 26, the investigators put Nikolai Parshin in the federal and international wanted lists, and in Volgograd, the court pronounced the decision to take him into custody. Nikolai Parshin himself is confident of political nature of the criminal case against him.

On September 3, Nikolai Parshin has sent a complaint about the actions of the Volgograd investigators to the General Prosecutor's Office; and, on September 5, he sent two motions to Alexander Bastrykin, the Chairman of the ICRF. This was reported by Svetlana Bobrova, the press-secretary of Nikolai Parshin.

According to her, the complaint and motions are associated with "biased attitude and prejudice in consideration of the facts by the Investigating Department for Volgograd of the ICRF".

When describing the examples, Svetlana Bobrova has mentioned the refusal of confrontations with defendants in the criminal case, who "harmoniously changed" their testimonies on the eve of the gubernatorial elections, the presence of two examinations in the case, the results of which differ by 8.5 times, and the "unwillingness to track the transfer of 11 million roubles, allegedly embezzled by Nikolai Parshin."
