Shabanova and Dudina intend to continue hunger strike in Moscow
The hunger strike announced in Krasnodar by Svetlana Shabanova and Margarita Dudina gave no results. Officials in Krasnodar pay no attention to their demands; therefore, the action will continue in Moscow near the General Prosecutor's Office (GPO), said the hunger-strikers.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 26 residents of the Krasnodar Territory went on hunger strike in front of the Territorial Prosecutor's Office, trying to draw law enforcers' attention to their problems. Margarita Dudina stated unfair prosecution of her son; while the elderly Shabanov spouses complained of a fraud, as a result of which their son lost his housing. Fyodor Shabanov’s poor health forced him to stop his hunger strike on August 28.
In the morning on September 3 Svetlana Shabanova resumed her hunger strike.
She told the correspondent that she had unsuccessfully spent 24 hours on the threshold of the Territorial Prosecutor's Office, where nobody paid attention to her.
Margarita Dudina was holding her hunger strike on September 3 and 4 in the building of the Territorial Court. She told the correspondent that she intended to go, together with Svetlana Shabanova, to Moscow and get an appointment with the officials of the GPO.
