Experts to identify those killed in Dagestan
Until now, two suspected militants shot dead during the counterterrorist operation (CTO), conducted in the Magaramkent District of Dagestan, have not been identified. Investigators have appointed a molecular-genetic examination.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 27 the Magaramkent District was put under the CTO regime in connection with search for militants. On August 29, near the village of Magaramkent, two unidentified men opened fire on law enforcers in the response to the demand to stop their car. Both were killed by response fire; and, according to the police, the car caught fire in the shootout.
The casualties have not been identified yet; their charred bodies are in the morgue, the spokesman of the Investigating Department for Dagestan of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent today.
"Two pistols were found on them. A molecular-genetic examination was appointed in the case. By documents, the VAZ 2110 car, in which they moved, had been registered to a resident of the Chechen Republic," said one of investigators.
According to his story, there are no victims among policemen and civilians.
