In attack on OMON agent in Novy Khushet his son and colleague were killed

In the shelling of the OMON (riot police) employee in the Dagestani village of Novy Khushet, two persons were killed – his relative, also a policeman, and his 15-year-old son. His father was hospitalized in grave condition.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the attack on the OMON agent in Novy Khushet was committed in the evening on August 21. The agent was wounded; and his relative was killed, said the spokesman for the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Dagestan.

According to the latest data of the Investigating Department (ID) for Dagestan of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF), during the attack in Novy Khushet on the policeman's family, two people were killed and one was wounded.

According to investigators, in the village of Novy Khushet "unidentified person called an OMON employee, a 39-year-old police ensign out of his house." When he came out, they shot at him from a pistol and also killed his 15-year-old son and a relative, also a policeman, who happened to be nearby.

"From the received gunshot wounds, the relative and the son died on the spot, while the ensign was hospitalized in grave condition," the website of the ID of the ICRF reports.
