In Stavropol Territory, power agents search houses of pagan Slavs and confiscate banned literature
Law enforcement bodies of the Stavropol Territory conduct searches of houses of local residents, who profess the Slavonic pagan cult, and confiscate the banned literature and audio and video records. The Territorial Department of the Russian MIA has confirmed detention of five persons.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in the morning of August 6, members of the "Stavropol Veche of Russia" reported that at least 19 searches were conducted in believers' houses in the Stavropol Territory.
According to the police, in the Stavropol Territory, they have detained members of the religious community, recognized as extremist by the court and banned in Russia. Under the MIA's version, the detainees were spreading their teachings on the Internet and held regular meetings of their organization.
"The searches of suspects' houses resulted in confiscation of banned literature, audio and video records and other prohibited attributes," said the August 6 message on the website of the Chief Department of the MIA for the Stavropol Territory.
