Suspected militant shot dead in KBR

In Nalchik, a member of the armed underground, who opened fire on policemen, was killed, local law enforcement bodies have reported.

The incident occurred today in Dubki micro-district in an outskirt of Nalchik.

According to a law enforcement source, the man caused policemen's suspicion. "When he noticed that he was shadowed, he opened fire at policemen from a submachine gun, and then threw a grenade at them," said the source.

Nobody suffered from among law enforcers; the casualty is being identified, the "Interfax" reports, referring to a law enforcement source from Kabardino-Balkaria.
