KBR resident convicted for helping militants
A court in the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR) has sentenced a resident of the Urvan District to two years of freedom deprivation. He was found guilty of supplying foodstuffs to members of the armed underground.
According to the prosecutor's office, in September 2012, the above resident of the village of Stary Cherek met a familiar member of the armed underground of the KBR, who invited him to join an illegal armed formation (IAF), buy foodstuffs and deliver them to members of the underground.
In September 2012, the convict used his car to deliver foodstuffs worth 5000 roubles to members of the armed underground. Investigators have also proved six other similar episodes associated with the delivery of foodstuffs to IAF members, says the website of the Prosecutor's Office of the KBR.
