Head of Adjaria to make statement tonight

The head of Georgia's Adjarian autonomy, Aslan Abashidze, will deliver a television address on Wednesday, May 5.

As reported by Reuters with reference to Tamara Gudava, press secretary of the Adjarian leader, Abashidze will speak "about the worsening situation in the region, as well as about the talks that have been conducted during the day."

The issue of Aslan Abashidze's possible resignation will not be touched on in the address, Ms Gudava emphasized.
