Temirsultanov's advocate states inaction of investigators and prosecutor's office

The advocate of Khavazh Temirsultanov, a native of Chechnya, has sent complaints about the inaction of employees of the prosecutor's office and investigators to two district courts of Sochi.

Temirsultanov was detained in December 2014 and charged with a robbery in Sochi of pensioner Arthur Zadelnikov. However, the victim himself claims that Temirsultanov was not involved in the attack.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on July 13 a court in Adler changed the defendant's punishment for the house arrest. The prosecutor's office appealed against this decision; and on July 24, the Territorial Court sent the case to the first instance court for correcting the detected drawbacks.

According to the advocate Alexander Boichenko, his client "is still being kept in the temporary detention facility (known as IVS) in violation of all the terms."

In his complaint, submitted to the Tsentralny District Court, the advocate pointed to "complete inaction of the prosecutor's office, the investigating division and the UVD (Interior Department) of Sochi in Temirsultanov's case." He also stated that the judgement of the court to translate the indictment into the Chechen language was not fulfilled.

The advocate has noted that no investigative actions with Temirsultanov's participation were conducted for the last five months.

The complaint sent by the advocate to the Adler Court indicates the inaction of the deputy prosecutor of the Adler District, and of the investigator of the police of the Adler District.
