Second prosecutor enters Amirov's trial

The today's session of the court in Rostov-on-Don on the case of ex-Mayor of Makhachkala Said Amirov was attended by two representatives of the prosecution.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Said Amirov, a former Mayor of Makhachkala, his nephew Yusup Djaparov, and Murad Aliev, Akhmedov brothers, Magomed Kadiev and Zubair Mutaev are accused of organizing murders, participation in an illegal armed formation (IAF), banditry, terrorism and illegal arms circulation. In particular, the defendants are charged with the murder of Arsen Gadjibekov, the head of the investigating division of the Sovietskiy District of Makhachkala. They all refuse to plead guilty.

Earlier, Amirov was sentenced to 10 years in prison on charges of plotting a terror act – it was the main criminal case against the ex-Mayor of Makhachkala; under the same case Djaparov was sentenced to 8.5 years in prison.

Unlike previous sessions, this time the state prosecution was represented by two employees of the Prosecutor's Office.

The Court rejected the petition lodged by Mutaev to request excerpts from the protocols of acquainting Magomed Abdulgalimov with the examination of firearms.

Also, the defendant accused Magomed Akhmedov was questioned. According to his version, the employees of the FSB, who "had invented the scheme of a criminal community" have direct attitude to initiation of the criminal case.
