Border guard wounded in the Rostov section of border with Ukraine

Unidentified attackers opened fire on border guards in the Kuibyshev District of the Rostov Region; one of them was wounded and hospitalized.

According to the Border Guard Department of Russia's FSB for the Rostov Region, the border guard received a gunshot wound while on duty.

"The border guard is rendered the necessary medical care," the RBC quotes its source from the above Border Guard Department.

According to preliminary information, Alexander Mischenko, 29, an ensign, was wounded. He stopped two men to check their documents, but they opened fire at him and then disappeared. The Rostov Region was put under the "Perekhvat" (Interception) plan, the edition named "Notepad. Rostov-on-Don" reports.

The Kuibyshev District is located in the southwest of the Rostov Region. According to the service "Yandex-Maps", the district is bordering on the territory controlled by the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic.
