Polyudova's advocate reports termination of criminal case on insulting Putin

The Department of the Russian FSB for the Krasnodar Territory has stopped the case about insulting the President of the Russian Federation, initiated against the Krasnodar activist Darya Polyudova, said Andrei Sabinin, her advocate.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the case was instituted on the fact of the appearance on Darya's page in social networks of a video with her statements addressed to Vladimir Putin.

In the evening on July 18, Andrei Sabinin wrote on his page in the Facebook that the criminal case had been closed.

"The criminal case against Darya Polyudova on insulting President Vladimir Putin has been stopped by the Department of the FSB for the Krasnodar Territory for lack of crime attributes in her actions. We'll not see the victim at interrogation," the advocate has informed.

Article 319 of the Russian Criminal Code (insulting an official), the activist was charged with, suggests the presence of a victim; therefore, earlier Andrei Sabinin sought a confrontation of Darya Polyudova with Vladimir Putin, the edition named "Mediazona" has announced today.
