Two suspected militants killed in Dagestan

In the Derbent District of Dagestan, two armed men opened fire at power agents and were killed by return fire, said a law enforcement source.

The incident occurred last night in the outskirt of the village of Gedjukh, where MIA and FSB agents carried out their counterterrorist activities, when two men opened fire on them from a Kalashnikov submachine gun from inside a Lexus car.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the counterterrorist operation (CTO) regime was introduced in the city of Derbent and the Derbent District on July 3.

The armed men tried to escape, but were killed by return fire. They are now being identified, the "Interfax" reports referring to its source from power agencies.
