CTO regime introduced in Nalchik
Starting 3:00 a.m. Moscow time, the micro-district of Iskozh in the city of Nalchik, the capital of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR), is under a counterterrorist operation (CTO), conducted by the republic's department of the Russian FSB (Federal Security Bureau).
The Acting Head of the FSB department for the KBR has decided to conduct a CTO and introduce the CTO regime in the part of Nalchik, limited by Musukaev-Chechenskaya-Nedelin-Ashurov Streets, the "Interfax-Yug" reports with reference to the operative headquarters. The CTO regime was introduced to prevent commission of terror acts, ensure safety of citizens, organizations and institutions, and search and detain hiding members of the armed underground, the "LifeNews" reports.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on June 5 two suspected militants were killed near the village of Atazhukino in the KBR in the period of the CTO regime.
