Armenia accuses Azerbaijan of serviceman's death
Arman Epremyan, a contract soldier of the Armenian Armed Forces was killed as a result of a ceasefire violation by the Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of Armenia has reported.
The incident occurred on the contact line of Azerbaijani and Armenian armed forces on June 26 at 6:30 p.m. The 28-year-old Epremyan was killed by shelling of the Armenian positions near the village of Gorayk, Syunik District, delivered from the territory of Nakhichevan, the "News-Armenia" writes with reference to the press secretary of the Armenian MoD Artsrun Ovannisyan, who added that as a result of the response fire the Azerbaijani party suffered many losses.
The "Panorama.am" notes that at this section of the border there was no shelling for about a year.
So far, there are no comments of the Azerbaijani party on the statement of the Armenian MoD. However, the Azerbaijani MoD has accused the Armenian Armed Forces of 87 cases of ceasefire violation on June 25 and at night on June 26.
