Two Azeri soldiers missing

As reported by the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence (MoD), two soldiers, who had allegedly mistakenly got into the territory of the Armenian party, have disappeared. The Armenian MoD has no information about their whereabouts.

Sergeants Musa Musaev and Tural Yolchiev got lost, the MoD of Azerbaijan reported on June 23. It is assumed that they were heading for the Azerbaijani positions and, by mistake, crossed the contact line with Armenian troops.

According to the MoD, an inquiry into the accident is underway, the "Trend" reports.

In the context thereof, the official Baku has also appealed to the International Committee of the Red Cross.

The information about the voluntary passage of the above Azerbaijani servicemen to the Armenian party was refuted by the Armenian MoD. "None of Azerbaijani soldiers passed over to the Armenian party," Artsrun Ovannisyan, the press-secretary of the MoD, said on June 23.
