Car of local resident shelled on highway in Ingushetia

As a result of shelling of his car, the driver – a resident of the Sunzha District of Ingushetia – was killed, while his passenger was hospitalized in grave condition.

The message about the incident arrived today at about midday Moscow time, said the press service of the Ingush MIA.

"On the Federal Highway 'Kavkaz', in the vicinity of the rural settlement of Troitskoe, Sunzha District, unidentified persons, who moved in a Lada Priora car, shelled, presumably from automatic firearms, a Toyota Tundra car driven by a 44-year resident of Troitskoe," says the website of the local MIA. The driver died on the spot; and his passenger was hospitalized with gunshot wounds. Doctors treat his condition as extremely grave, says the press service of the MIA.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in May 2014 during a fight of two families in Ingushetia, three persons were wounded from firearms; one of them died on the spot.
