Igor Siskevich complains about delays in consideration of his complaint about detention at Sochi airport
In Sochi, the law enforcement bodies are unreasonably delaying the consideration of the complaint, in which Sochi pensioner Igor Siskevich had reported on the abuse of power committed by law enforcers during his detention.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that earlier, on May 14, 2015, Igor Siskevich was detained at the airport by two unidentified men in civilian clothes and brought to the on duty unit of the police, where he was questioned concerning the circumstances of his stay in the east of Ukraine. Several hours later, Igor Siskevich was released without any charges.
On May 22, Igor Siskevich filed a complaint to the UVD (Interior Division), in which he claimed that he saw signs of malfeasance in the actions of the unidentified persons, who detained him. However, till present, no actions have been taken on his complaint.
"On May 22, I filed a complaint to the Sochi UVD in No. 4 in Soviet Street. They kept my complaint there for a week, and on May 28, they sent it to the Sochi Linear Department for Transport of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) in No. 46 in Gorky Street. There, my complaint was kept for another week. And now, they inform me that it has been sent 'as it should' to the airport. I will not be surprised if my complaint will be sent somewhere else from the airport, and then, they will send it endlessly to one or another department by circle," Igor Siskevich has claimed.
