Resident of Vladikavkaz died at IVS

The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of North Ossetia investigates the circumstances of sudden death of a resident of Vladikavkaz, who was brought to IVS (temporary detention facility) on suspicion of theft.

The man was detained on June 6 at 5:40 p.m. Moscow time. According to the press service of the MIA of North Ossetia, a resident of Vladikavkaz did not voice any complaints about his health state.

"In the course of the planned inspection, law enforcers found the detainee unconscious. The policemen began to provide medical assistance to the citizen and called an ambulance. Upon arrival, doctors pronounced him dead," reports the message posted on the MIA's website on June 7.

A forensic examination has been appointed to reveal the cause of the detainee's death.
