In Buynaksk, mosque-goers released from police

In the Dagestani town of Buynaksk, all the mosque-goers detained on May 18 have been released from the GOVD (City Interior Division) at night of May 19.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that, according to eyewitnesses, in the evening of May 18, in Buynaksk, a mass detention of mosque-goers took place. According to a source in the GOVD, all the detainees will be released after verification of their IDs.

"The detainees were released after they had been fingerprinted, photographed, and registered in the lists of 'Vahhabis'. Everything was going on as usual," said Magomed R., a mosque-goer. He has added that nine persons were detained.

"One of the detainees brought to the GOVD was beaten, he had a quarrel with policemen," said the source with reference to the eyewitnesses.

Today, according to one of the believers, the situation at the Al-Shafi'i Mosque is calm, and it continues working as usual.
