Investigators decide not to interrogate Ramzan Kadyrov in Nemtsov's murder case

Investigators still do not plan to question Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov in the case of the murder of politician Boris Nemtsov, the "Interfax" reports with reference to a source. According to an advocate of the Boris Nemtsov's family members, no official response has been received yet from the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF).

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that children of killed Boris Nemtsov insist on questioning the Chechen leader, State Duma deputy Adam Delimkhanov, and Ruslan Geremeev, the deputy commander of the battalion "Sever" (North). On April 22, they filed an appropriate motion to the ICRF. On April 30, the Chechen leader expressed his willingness to help the investigation into the Boris Nemtsov's murder and testify in the case.

At present, the criminal case "contains no materials to give reason to question Ramzan Kadyrov or Adam Delimkhanov," and thus, they "are not included in the list of persons, whose information is of interest for the investigation," the "Rosbalt" reports with reference to a source in the law enforcement bodies.

On March 19, the "Kommersant" reported with reference to its sources that in the case of the Boris Nemtsov's murder, investigators instructed field investigators to find Ruslan Geremeev for questioning as a witness. However, on April 7, the "Rosbalt" reported with reference to the sources in the law enforcement bodies that the interrogation of Ruslan Geremeev failed in Chechnya, since his whereabouts were officially unknown.
